Child and Family Solutions provide superior counseling services to youth and families.  Our primary purpose is to use evidence-based, therapeutic interventions to strengthen the family, provide family stability, and preserve the family unit.  These goals may be attained by providing counseling in the most comfortable and convenient setting, your home.  Services are designed to meet the unique needs of each individual, child, or family.


Based on your cultural values and the specialties of our counselors, we take special care and consideration when making assignments.  Additionally, all of our staff has several years of experience in their respective areas of expertise and are clinically licensed in the state of New Jersey. Clinical licensures include Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselors (LCADC), and/or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT). We partner with county-based youth case management entities and care management organizations to offer free counseling to youth enrolled in the New Jersey Medicaid Program. Services provided under New Jersey Medicaid are Intensive In-Community Counseling (IIC) and Behavioral Assistance (BA) services.

An in-home clinical assessment must be completed in order to determine the appropriate level of care for your child. [accordion_content title=”What should I look for in a counselor?”]It is important for counselors to hold at least a Master’s degree and a State Clinical Licensure in Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy. The following qualities are also important factors to consider when selecting a counselor.

    • Professionalism
    • Years of experience
    • Timeliness and consistency with care

It is also important to feel a personal connection to your counselor. However, it is not always necessary for the counselor to be within the same age range, race, or gender in order to build a therapeutic relationship [/accordion_content]
